Exhibition Statement
Kwok-Yee Tai had rarely shown her work, instead she drew and painted constantly to improve her artistry. She had the ability to extract the essence of what she saw to create images of flowing lines and colors. Her work is original, whimsical, naive yet sophisticated. She showed a talent in the interaction of form and space. On view are some of her pieces, including works on canvas of recent years. One can see in these larger works the same sense of line and space. We invite you to become familiar with her work, as we celebrate an artist who created art to celebrate life.
