Liang-Pin Tsao
Artist Statement

Born and grew up in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Liang-Pin Tsao is an artist currently based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. He holds an MFA degree from Pratt Institute and his works have been exhibited in Taiwan, Japan, Korea and the U.S. Liang is the recipient of Residency Unlimited Artist-In-Residency Program
sponsored by the Ministry of Culture Taiwan, Pak-Hing Kan Arts Grant, and scholarship from Pratt
Institute. His works explore the relations between image, language and emotion in the socio-cultural contexts. Liang’s first photography monograph, Sojourn, is to be published in September 2015, and is sponsored by National Culture and Arts Foundation in Taiwan.
