Ik-Joong Kang
Artist Statement
I believe my role as an artist is to throw a fishing rod into the water with intuition. It’s then the scientist’s role to work out how to get fish back onto land. Then the economist will chop up the fish on the chopping board, and finally the politician will distribute the fish to everyone. Without throwing a fishing rod, there are no fish at our table. I believe, as an artist, have an important role in this cycle.
