Yuh-Shioh Wong was born in Taipei, Taiwan and spent most of her adolescent and teenage years in southern California. She holds a BA in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University, an MFA in Painting from Hunter College, New York, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME. Selected exhibitions include: Snake Alley, curated by Eric Shiner at the Taipei Cultural Institute (2008); Cherry and Martin, Los Angeles (2008) (solo); Foxy Production, New York (2007) (2006) (solo); Thomas Erben, New York (2006); The Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York (2005); Dinter Fine Arts, New York (2005); ATM Gallery, New York (2004) (solo); Southfirst, Brooklyn, NY. Wong has been featured in the New York Times, the Brooklyn Rail, and Flash Art International.
Yuh-Shioh currently lives and works in Santa Fe, NM.
