周王玲
創作論述
周王玲,出生於台北,台灣。於2007年,畢業於俄亥俄州的肯特州立大學,獲得陶瓷MFA。周王玲利用垃圾為模,將之塑成器皿或雕塑形式,造型生動,富有幽默感。她模仿中國傳統花鳥畫,轉化成漫畫風格, 畫面充分表現對動物之愛 。她作品的概念,混合了毀壞與重建; 商業設計與藝術創作等多重對立的悖論。
她的作品在美國各地展出,已超過57場。其中包括在阿拉巴馬州Samford University的個展, 伊利諾州Wheaton College的個展, 阿肯薩州Henderson State University和University of Arkansas, Monticello的個展, 等等。她的作品曾獲得八項全國性比賽獎項,其中包括River Oaks Square Arts Center所舉辦的陶瓷杯首獎。除此之外,她的作品還被刊登在由美國陶瓷協會出版的Hand-Building Techniques,Louisian Life, Pottery Making Illustrated和 SEEN等藝術雜誌。
周王玲現居路易斯安那州, 自2008年起, 一直仼教育於Louisian College,並於2014年,被該校頒發為Eugenia Dawson榮譽教授。
