Tsai Hai-Ru was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1967. She graduated from the National Academy of the Arts and studied at Ecole Nationale d'Art de Cergy Pontoise, France. In 2016 she founded an alternative space Haiton Art Center in Taipei. She has exhibited in numerous venues such as JUMING Museum, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Digital Art Center, and Taipei Artist Village. Her curatorial works include “Joy Luck's Mirror Gardon - Daughters of the Write Terror Victims ” in FreeS Art Space, and "Dreamer's Check-in Place, New Year's Day edition" 2016 Taipei Break-Of-Dawn Concert Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Dajia Riverside Park, Taipei.
