Non-realism is another version of Realism. An impulse of revolt against the bondage emerges when the outside history and reality clings to the human nature. A spiritual struggle between Reality and Non-reality made people instinctively long for a kind of trance of pursuing spiritual freedom.
The works haven’t taken Reality and History as their subjects, but they produce a philosophical feeling of “trance, capriccio and tranquility”. As Kant mentioned, it’s a spiritual illustration on the mutual relationship of “object consciousness” and “ego consciousness” and it renders people a clear understanding and reflection of “freedom, spirit and will”. In this sense, the beauty of the painting is coherent to the pure philosophical thoughts.
One is originated from the great Chinese philosopher Lao-tzu’s famous saying “Tao generates One”. “Tao” is originated from “None”, while “None” means the “Universe”——the free space of individual independence. The author knows much about the subtlety of “None” and melts it into his heart. He instills the Chinese philosophical “thoughts” into the western painting and fuses the essences of the eastern and western culture. He pours his heart into his painting which reflects his spirit and made his painting and his spirit become one.
